Hello Amstrong,

Based on the latest Visual Studio and ASP.NET Core requirements you should make sure you have updated Visual Studio tools with the newest templates and tooling for ASP.NET Core solutions.

After that, you will have templates that will create a proper ASP.NET Core Web Application:

  1. Select File > New Project.
  2. Choose Templates > Visual C# > Web > ASP.NET Core Web Application.
  3. Set a name and location for the project.
  4. Select Web Application from the project templates.

Further, you can get Telerik.UI.for.AspNet.Core from the private feed of Nuget as in the instructions in the Getting Started article.

Alternatively, you can download the latest MSI installation package of UI for ASP.NET MVC which will include Telerik templates for MVC application. The one you can choose is Telerik C# ASP.NET Core MVC Applicaion under New Project > Telerik > Web. This template will include scripts, styles and assembly references properly and enable you to quickly get started with UI for ASP.NET Core components.

If you have any further troubles or questions regarding getting started topics for Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core I suggest you opening a new forum thread or sending us a support ticket with more details about the difficulties encountered. Let keep this thread here strictly related to its initial topic—the Dialog component.

Regards,
Ianko
