Photo Album NativeScript doesn't run via LiveSync on phone

Hello,

I am reviewing Telerik Platform for an upcoming project and decided to do a walk-through of the sample Photo Album application.  Things came to a standstill rather quickly when I hit step 3 and tried to deploy the app using the companion app.  

I installed the Telerik Platform app, and then the NativeScript app on my HTC 10, running Android Marshmallow.  I built the app targeting Android + NativeScript in debug mode and then scanned the QR code using the Telerik Platform app.  The NativeScript "N" shows up in the phone's notification bar, however nothing else is displayed on the screen.

The LiveSync NativeScript option appears in the notification shade with the message "Touch to get the latest changesfrom cloud", but when I select that option I get the following exception message in a popup:

"java.lang.Exception: Cannot find your project in the cloud. Verify that you have built and synchronized your latest changes with the cloud."

Any ideas on what could be going wrong?
